The Board of Adjustment has 7 members appointed by the Mayor and approved by City Council. The Board of Adjustment is created in accordance with Kentucky Revised Statutes. Their responsibilities include hearing and deciding applications for conditional use permits, and applications for variances.

The city's administrative staff supports the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Adjustment in all meeting their responsibilities.
